• “Third-Party Content”: Information sourced from external or publicly available sources, such as architect profiles, credentials, or portfolios, which we do not independently verify.

3. Eligibility

3.1 You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering a binding contract to use the Service.
3.2 If acting on behalf of an organisation, you warrant that you have authority to bind that entity.
3.3 Architect listings are limited to professionals who:

• Hold valid UK architectural qualifications;
• Maintain appropriate and current professional indemnity insurance;
• Comply with applicable UK laws and regulations related to architectural services.

4. Account Registration

4.1 You may be required to register an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.
4.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
4.3 You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach.
4.4 We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms.

5. Platform Operation

5.1 We provide a digital introduction service connecting Clients with Architects based on relevant factors like location, project type, and expertise.
5.2 We do not guarantee that:

• A particular Architect will accept a Client’s project;
• A Client will hire a listed Architect.
  5.3 Any contract for services is strictly between the Client and the Architect. We are not a party to any such contract.
  5.4 We do not endorse any Architect, nor do we verify the accuracy of their qualifications or representations.
  5.5 Architect information may be obtained from publicly available sources, and we do not guarantee its accuracy or completeness.
  5.6 Users are advised to conduct their own due diligence before entering into any engagement.

6. Fees and Payments

6.1 Clients may register and use the Service free of charge.
6.2 Architects may be subject to subscription, listing, or commission fees under separate commercial terms.
6.3 All fees are exclusive of VAT or other applicable taxes.
6.4 Fees may change with reasonable notice.
6.5 Except where legally required, fees are non-refundable.

7. Acceptable Use

7.1 You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation;
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation;
• Interfere with other users’ access to the Platform;
• Attempt to access restricted areas of the Service without authorisation;
• Use the Service to transmit spam or harmful content;
• Collect data or perform data scraping without permission.

7.2 Architects further agree not to:

• Misrepresent their qualifications or experience;
• Circumvent the Platform’s fee structure;
• Post false or misleading information;
• Engage in price fixing or anti-competitive conduct.

8. Content and Intellectual Property

8.1 By uploading Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display, and distribute it for Service-related purposes.
8.2 You confirm that:

• You own or have rights to your submitted Content;
• Your Content complies with applicable laws and does not infringe others’ rights.
  8.3 We may remove any Content at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

Third-Party Content

8.4 We collect and display architect information from public and third-party sources. We do not guarantee its accuracy and accept no liability for errors, omissions, or legal infringements.
8.5 If you believe content violates your rights, contact us via our online form.
8.6 Architects may request updates to their profile data via our online form.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 The Platform and its original content are owned by The Architect List or its licensors.
9.2 You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
9.3 Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

10. Reviews and Ratings

10.1 Users may submit reviews based on their actual experience.
10.2 We reserve the right to remove reviews that are abusive, false, defamatory, violate privacy, or breach these Terms.
10.3 We do not independently verify reviews and are not responsible for their accuracy.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Architect List, its affiliates, and personnel from all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service;
• Any violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

15. Termination

15.1 We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service without prior notice if you breach these Terms.
